We want to develop our collections and are very grateful for all offers of objects, boats and archives. If you would like to offer anything to the Museum then please send details of the object and any known history, and photographs if possible, to the Assistant Curator, by post or email using the printable form in the menu on the right of this page.
Sadly we cannot accept everything we are offered as we do not have the necessary storage space and like to limit our collections to specific stories. All offers are assessed by an Acquisitions Committee and this may take a little time. If you are not sure whether your offer is relevant to the Museum, then please indicate this on the form and the Curator will contact you.
We also cannot guarantee to display all new gifts immediately as we have a large collection and not enough room to display it all at the same time. We will of course try to show new items at some point in the future. When not on display, boats and objects are carefully stored and are available for research and education purposes.
Please note, it is not usual for a Museum to acknowledge donor's names in its displays.
